You are riding comfortably along in an air-conditioned super luxury bus complete with TV screens and DVD players. You pull up to some historic European site and everybody gets off the bus, looks up at the old church or building, takes a few pictures, and gets back on the bus - on to the next stop.

After a few more stops you arrive at your five-star hotel, full of other foreign travelers, and eat at the fancy American restaurant on site. Maybe a massage afterwards? A spa treatment?

If this scenario is what you would like out of your European vacation then we probably are not for you! The following scenario is more our style.

You are walking through a beautiful European city complete with its own character, history, culture, and style. Your feet may hurt a little bit, but your mind (and your digital camera memory stick) is full of all the wonderful things you have seen that day.

You have travelled throughout the city on foot and by public transportation, viewing the world from the eyes of those who live here everyday. You have learned about the history of the place, where the people come from, what they do, and you have thoroughly soaked up the native culture, cuisine and atmosphere.

 

You don't want to leave, but you know another European gem awaits you tomorrow, and so you finish your day with a meal, together with your fellow adventurous tour mates, at a local restaurant, sampling the indigenous cuisine, and you get a good night's sleep at a decent, clean hotel, waking up refreshed and ready for more!

Our tours are definitely for the more adventurous minded folk. These are active tours with lots of walking and learning and not much indulging and relaxation. They are not for everybody!

However, lest you get the wrong idea, neither can most of our tours be labeled as “roughing it” tours. We stay in adequate lodging, eat good food, and travel like the locals do - by van, bus, or train outside of cities, walking and public transportation in the cities.

Because of this you must pack light. It is very hard to lug around a big suitcase on the European train system! But a backpack and a small suitcase with wheels should be fine.

 

We offer airport to airport service and we are with you 24/7 at all times in between! Want some free time? We'll be with you round the clock.
